Living and working the family farm is a special priviledge in todays world. Life can be difficult and challenging on the farm. But we are so very thankful to great grandpa Gullick and Grandpa Ole and the others before him that settled here from Norway.
Thank you Ristys for your labor of love and insite to settle in the Midwest! We will try our best to carry on the name and the farm as these are our roots and we have graciously raised our five children here.
Special thank you to you Oscar (Dad) as words will never be enough. In loving memory to the loss of our father Oscar T. Risty May 26, 1911 - May 24, 2006 we will forever miss you Dad.

We breed, raise and train horses of all breeds. Specializing in the Arabian, NSH, pinto cross in every disciplines. 


We give riding lessons either private, semi-private or group. Offering trail rides by the hour same as a lesson.

Crossing the Arabian with the Saddlebred has been exciting for us. With the addition of our pinto stallion PHANTOM OF CHACARO we will always have those gorgeous spotted horses.

RU ANSHAD

Above is RU ANSHAD the Black Al Khamsa, Blue List, Babson stallion that started it all for us, sire of Fadl Attrak-Shun. He is ridden back then by 7 year old Sondra, dearly loved and missed by us all.
"FADL" is our senior Black stallion. He is a champion himself and now his kids are starting to shine in the ring as well.

Honor The Military: "Thank you for our Freedom"
2004 we are very proud of our youngest son who has now completed his training and being able to share his BUD/S graduation was quite the honor as parents. 
Our price of Freedom: On June 28, 2005 a daring mission to rescue a four-man SEAL reconnaissance squad engaged in a fierce firefight with overwhelming Taliban forces in rugged 10,000 foot mountains. Kristensen, seven other SEALs, and and eight Army “Nightstallker” commandos died in the heroic attempt when their MH-47D Chinook helicopter crashed after it was shot down by a rocket-propelled grenade. A total of 11 SEALs died that day in the Global War against Terror. It was the biggest single loss of life for Naval Special Warfare forces since World War II. To a man, these SEALs embodied the Navy’s core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment, and took care of their teammates to the last. Information attained at www.NavySEAL.com.

UPDATE: We are thankful to say our son is currently back in the United States from serving in the war in Iraq from April 10 - October 3, 2007.. welcome home to the USA and his entire Team!

UPDATE AGAIN: October 27, 2009 our son (after re-enlisting) was deployed for war again, please pray for him and his team and all our military for the sacrific they make in their service.
